For those of you who may not know of Tom and his enormous contributions to the surfing culture here is a couple links to some info.

Tom was a very spiritual individual. At the risk of sounding like a kook and giving folks something to label me as abit crazed, I do beliveve Mr. Blake looks down on the Great Lakes surf culture and is proud of many people, events, and friendships that he helped create in many different ways.
I lift good thought up to Tom this day and thank him for what he contributed to our sport!
EverForward,

Blake is a real legend and will live on in the surfing community for many and many of years to come and he would be stoked to see the surfing culture in The Great Lakes today that lives on. Happy Surfin and cannot wait for that next glide. Burton |

Tom Blake was a phenom to be remembered for all time. He is an icon in our surfing culture. Surfing was never the same after Blake. He contributed so much to wave riding. We take these things for granted in these times. His inventiveness profoundly resonates across this planet. He was a product of the Great Lakes and is buried here facing the fresh water.
Energy never ends. Quarks are the smallest particles of energy within wave molecules and moments of goodness. The energy of a pure spirit touches the fingers of the creator in the water when they share. We are not separate from nature or the creator. Blake is always one with us when we protect nature. We are part of nature.
Thanks again Greg for reminded us of this historical passage.
