unctrolled acent from 26 feet, fisrt dive of the day, duration of dive 10 minutes. What is the probability of DCI?

Hi Diver1,
Given that the diver wasn't carrying a large inert gas load from prior dives, the probability of DCS is extremely small.
However, if the diver held his breath on ascent or lung venting was otherwise inadequate, there would be a significant probability of DCI in the form of arterial gas embolism http://www.scuba-doc.com/artgsemb.htm.
A recompressed diver may have lingering symptoms following initial treatment. Where this is the case, additional treatments often are conducted. However, this will not be continued indefinitely. Some stricken divers do have residual signs or symptoms following the conclusion of treatment. Sometimes these very gradually resolve on their own; sometimes they are permanent.
Care to be more specific?
Regards,
DocVikingo
